About Me

Hi there! My name is Shea Haavik and I am from Seattle, Washington originally and now currently living in Corvallis near campus. I am majoring in kinesiology with a focus on athletic training. I hope to work with children with disabilities as of right now and I am also interested in working in the collegiate level as an athletic trainer but I am keeping my options open! I like to believe that I have a lot more hobbies when I am not so busy with school and work, but I love to read, puzzle, play card games and do anything outside. I don't have too many interesting facts but I do play the bass which some people find surprising. I would love to get better at writing professional emails and any professionalism in relation to resumes. The readings, specifically the one about 'Netiquette', were very interesting to learn about. I think that the guidelines that they shared will come in very handy when writing emails or resumes. I don't use a ton of online communication other than the channels that are necessary. I use email and text messages the most to communicate to work or close people in my life. I have never taken an communication course before so I am excited to learn something different! I think the biggest goal that I have, as mentioned before, is to progress in writing more professional emails and more interesting resumes!
