Assessment Questions:

  • Does the company do a good job communicating on its website and social media platforms? Provide examples.
I believe that Dutch Bros Coffee does a very good job at communicating on it's website. The text is very large and the website itself is so colorful that you're able to know exactly what you want for a drink. One example of good job at communicating is by just one scroll down, in large, bold print it says "We're hiring!" with an easy hyperlink to the job description and hiring process. I also thought that there wasn't too much information on the website that it wasn't overwhelming and it was very easy to navigate. After taking a look at both the companies Instagram and Facebook the same things hold true, there's bold text, easy hyperlinks to their website, and lots of promotion posts for new drinks. 



  • On the company website, what is featured at the top, in the middle, and at the bottom of the home page? Why do you think they have it organized this way? In your opinion, is it effective?
On the top of the website there are links to "menu", "rewards", and "gift cards". This way it is the first thing you see and it is easy access to the things that people most need when visiting the website. As you scroll down theres another link to the menu and then links to certain drinks that are the most popular or new. This is effective because it entices people to buy the new products and have them on display. Towards the bottom it shows their products that you're able to have at home, hiring and their impact story. At the very bottom it has other links to details such as new and events and nutrition. There are links to their Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. In my opinion, I find this layout very effective because you're easily able to find what you're looking for. 


  • Does the business communicate an identity online? Provide examples.
Yes, Dutch Bros Coffee does communicate an online identity. They have links within their website to their Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. On top of that, in each of their social media platforms they have links to their website and other social media. 




  • Where could the company improve its online communication?  
I believe that Dutch Bros Coffee does a great job at communicating new products, hours, career opportunities and their menu. I don't believe that they have a lot to work on but my only critique would be to make their social media presence larger on their website. Possibly moving the hyper link up to the top so it is easier to find.
